General and Breast Surgery
Dr. Patricia Bailey attended college and medical school in her home state of Massachusetts and then came to Philadelphia in 1980 to undergo training in general surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. After completing a Chief Residency year, she went on to work as an attending surgeon at Temple University Hospital for three years prior to entering into private practice at the Chestnut Hill Hospital in 1990. She joined Penn Surgery at Chestnut Hill in July 2006.
Her practice of general surgery has focused on diseases of the breast. Dr. Bailey was instrumental in the development of the Women's Center and has served as the Medical Director since 1997. Most recently she has worked to develop the Comprehensive Breast Program at the Women's Center.
Dr. Bailey has lived and worked in the Northwest Philadelphia area for her entire career, raising a family of two children and very much enjoyed being a long term active member of the community.
